Christmas Day

Ben borrowed a sleeper from Avery Christmas Eve. Doesn't he look cute in purple? It matches the black eye he got when he crawled at full speed into a foot stool. I think the pink flowers are a bit much for a boy, but he was too young to care. I'm sure we would hear about it in a few years.
Grandma and Avery. Avery is getting so big! She will soon be walking all on her own.
Avery is so proud of her ability to walk with this walker. She was fun to watch.

Trying to get the toy out of the packaging is always a big ordeal. It took all three of us.

We had a quiet Christmas Day. Ben opened his presents from us and Grandpa and Grandma Langdon on Christmas morning. Aunt Tara, Uncle Kevin and cousin Avery came and spent the day with us. We had a Christmas feast and played some games. It was a nice relaxing day.

Ice Storm

We had a ice storm again this weekend. This time I actually took some pictures. Most of these are taken from our yard. The tree over the power lines is about 1/2 a mile down the road. Sure wish we had snow instead, but it was pretty.

Pappy comes to visit

Josh's dad came from Las Vegas for a visit. We finally got a picture of the three of them.

Emma

Ben got to spend a little time with Uncle Joel, and cousing Emma as well. Emma was camera shy so we had a difficult time getting a picture. She is sure a cutie.

Thanksgiving

Also at the mall, Ben took his first ride in a quarter machine. He thought it was pretty cool.

Thanksgiving

Ben enjoyed playing on this slide, he would climb up it and walk down. No actual sliding involved.

We went to the mall to meet up with Uncle Jon, Courtney and cousin Della. Ben had a lot of fun in the play area.

Ben wouldn't look at the camera, he was too interested in all the other kids running around.

Thanksgiving week

Sorry I'm a little behind on posting. We made a trip to Washington State Thanksgiving week. We had a lot of fun and it went too fast.

Ben made some new friends. He had a lot of fun playing with Elijah and Katia Mohler, my friends Becky and Josh's kids.

laundry helper

I caught Ben "helping" mom with laundry. He was picking the dirty clothes off the floor and putting them in the dryer for mommy. Unfortunately my camera was downstairs and I couldn't catch him in action. Here he is so proud of all the big help he is.

Ben's costume

Ben was a lion. I thought his costume was pretty cute for a thrift store find. As you can see, he really didn't care for his hat.

October

Ben had fun playing with daddy's hunting hat. He also enjoys playing with daddy's lawn tractor he can't wait until he is big enough to ride around the yard with daddy. We have a big walnut tree in our front yard the dropped tons of walnuts. Ben kept falling as he stepped on them and they rolled under his feet. He still thought they were pretty cool, as you can see he had one in each hand and carried them around for a while.

Mums and a pumpkin

I decided our house needed a few fall decorations. Ben loved to pick the flowers for mommy.

September

When my parents came for Ben's birthday my mom had made Ben a beautiful new quilt for his bed. They bought Ben the fire truck for his birthday. He hasn't quite figured out how to make it go himself, but he loves for mom and dad to push him around on it.

Ben and Sydney

Ben loves our cat Sydney. Sydney is very tolerant of Ben. She allows Ben to tackle her and lay across her, and just meows at him.

Ben and Avery

I'm watching my neice Avery while her parents are at work. She and Ben have blast together. Avery is 7 and a half months and just started crawling. Once she catches up with Ben and starts walking I had better watch out!

Hiking Bushkill Falls

My parents came for a week to visit at Ben's birthday time. We went on this beautiful hike to Bushkill falls here in PA.

Ben's Birthday

Ben turned 1 Sept. 5th. He enjoyed his birthday, although he was very tired. Ben loved the frosting on his cake, but wouldn't eat the cake itself.
